I woke up this morning not feeling well. My head was pounding, my nose was stuffy, my throat was scratchy, and I was feeling rather dizzy. I took a shower and tried to get ready but ended up taking my phone and myself back to bed for a while.
I woke up about a half hour later and tried to get up but still felt like crud, so I checked my schedule and the two meetings I did have could be postponed so I sent an email to my boss and then emailed my meeting attendees to reschedule.
I slept until nearly 11am. Woke up feeling a little better, my headache was gone, but still was dizzy. I laid low for a while then around noon made some lunch and checked my email. I did a little work from home, and then rested for another hour or so. Got up a couple hours ago and picked up the kitchen and living room and cleaned out the cat box. My throat is still rather scratchy, but I think I'm feeling better. I look like crud though.

Sunday - the bittersweet ending to a great weekend
I had a great weekend. So great in fact, I am still in my pajamas and its 7pm (well...still in my pajamas after we got home from the movies Saturday night).
Saturday was a great day. I woke up early, had some coffee, and reluctantly checked my work email while I was meal planning for the day. I had an email from one of our partners who had a question on our enrollments, so I guess its a good thing I checked it. I went into work for a few hours Saturday morning to get that straitened out. I was actually thinking about stopping in a getting a few things taken care of before I went grocery shopping so it worked out well.
After work, I grabbed some lunch and headed off to Goodwill. I was in search of some books for my father who loves to read. He has read everything in the house and is working is way through some 1970something encyclopedia Sad thing...I am guessing many of today's youth have never opened an encyclopedia, nor know what one is.
After I scored a few good books for less than 10$, I headed to the grocery store. I stuck to the budget and got out at a semi-decent time. By this time my head was pounding and was ready for home/a Saturday afternoon nap. Which is exactly what I did.
I was in the mood to get out of the house so I looked up our local cheap seats theater and checked out the listings, and it was the new batman movie, which I was semi-interested in. I knew John wanted to see it so figured why not suggest it. John was all for it, so we took off.
The movie itself was great, I really enjoyed it. It was a little surreal knowing that dozens of innocent people were kills, many more traumatized during some scene of the movie. Saddening really. John enjoys guns, and I even enjoy shooting them so I'm not all for 100% gun control, but do believe that more restrictions should be placed...but more on the mental health side of an evaluation.
On our way home we learned that Johns uncle had a six way by pass heart surgery and was in ICU. His mom was thinking of going to MN to see him in the morning and wanted to know if we could take her. Of course, its a non issue, we would. So when we got home we went to bed early thinking we would be taking off in the morning.
Sunday morning came and she decided to wait to see him until he could have more visitors and for an extended period of time. Totally understandable. He had a good night so there was no immediate need to be there. We are actually going to their farm over Labor Day weekend for cousin Olivia's wedding to her fiance Joshua. Should be a great time!
So we did nothing today. Nothing. Well I cooked three meals (breakfast was eggs, turkey sausage, and toast; lunch was cheeseburger pie; and supper....well I'm currently eating that now, grilled tillapia (seasoned with lemon and dill) and some roasted potatoes, veggies and a glass of Moscato - Id take a pic, but I'm eating on a paper plate - KLASSY).
I currently am battling a headache I have had seen Saturday so that is putting a slight damper on my Sunday Fun-day evening activities. If an hour after I finish my wine its still there, Im taking some Tylenol and calling it a night.

Wicked Wednesday
I want to give a serious WTF to today. Words do not even describe how crazy everything was today, at one point I even wondered if it was a full moon.
The good news is, the day is over, I got to talk to my BFF today (I miss her dearly and it had been too long since we last talked), I made noodles with my mom for our church dinner in a few weeks, and I painted my nails (OPI Sparrow Me No Drama). Please ignore the white tape on my finger...I have a sliver ;)

Sunday August 5th Recap
Ahhh the end of a weekend. I feel like Sundays arrive too quickly and Fridays seem to be so far into the distance that you feel the week will never end.
I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday morning we woke up at a decent hour, took all of our recycling/garbage to the trash center (only open on certain Saturdays). From there we picked up mom and dads since dad is having back problems. After that we went to a neighbors to see if we could borrow a trailer on Sunday (theirs has ramps that we can drive a car onto). J needed to go pick up a friends car so we could work on it. After that, we make breakfast and had a nice breakfast together.
After breakfast on Saturday we both did our own things for a few hours. I watched some netflix and J played some video games. I decided it was time to tackle the guest room/room we planned to turn into a nursery and start going through all the crap we have accumulated up there. The game plan is to turn this into a game room/informal living room and keep the downstairs looking nicer. I ended up with SEVEN bags of clothes to donate to goodwill. This will be my third trip of stuff to take to goodwill since June. Each trip has had at least five bags. There will be more, but some of it I need to rewash since the lids were off of the totes, the cats decided it was a bed.
So after I sorted through most things up there, J came up and helped move stuff around. We moved the bed into the side attic and brought up the entertainment center we had sitting in the dining room. After that we brought up the TV that his friend gave us for all of the work we did for him (J more than me in this case). We have some more work to do up there, but for the most part is all set up now.
Saturday night we went over to my parents house to see my little brother who came to visit for the weekend.
Sunday we picked up the trailer and our friend Jesse and his girlfriend came over and helped load a couch out of the living room that they are taking to their house. Ahhh I FINALLY have my dining room back. I have my little desk set up now and can actually see the wood floor without having "stuff" around that we needed to do something with or give away.
I went to my parents house for a while, and J went with is friends to do some "guy stuff". After I came home, I did a quick work out....see post workout look:
Sn now, I'm blogging, coming up with our meal plan for the week and just relaxing until J comes home.

History has a tendancy to repeat itself
Well, here I am. More than one month has passed since I started blogging again. So much has changed, yet somethings remain the same.
I have been working on getting my house back in order, and that feels very refreshing. Waking up in the morning and not seeing piles of stuff everywhere has been good for finding my inner peace.
So in an effort to actually say something instead of ramble I will pick three parts of my life for an update (if you ever want an update in one place or another please feel free to leave a comment).
Work: Work is great. Very busy, but I guess that is good. I have been recommended for a promotion and that makes me feel like I am actually accomplishing things at work. A few shifts will occur with regards to supervision, and will start to supervise more employees...I'm a little nervous for that, but I will do okay.
Weight: Ah yes, the BIG W. I'm not doing too bad actually. I had a goal of 15 pounds to lose in July and I did lose 13. I'm not getting to down on myself because this is a lifestyle change, not a race. My goal in August is 15 pounds again. By the end of August I hope to be where I was a year ago.
Marriage: Seems to have its ups and downs. Not feeling supper connected, but I had a feeling this would happen when I finished with school. We both have to learn how to reconnect again. Some days are good, others feel like we are at square one. In all honesty though, I feel like we are in a good place, regardless of anything else that is going on.

Weekend Recap
What a weekend! It was successful to say the least - I rested, I had fun, and Im ready to tackle the week.
John left for the weekend to go to the Tomah tractor pulls and I had the weekend and the house to myself. It was lovely.
Friday night I came home from work and reorganized the coffee table with new baskets for the bottom shelf that I purchased. I think we had papers from three years ago that I finally got rid of. I also hauled a few laundry baskets upstairs to be put away later and finished cleaning the downstairs that I didn't get done earlier that week. Then I made some supper and started to watch Glee from season 1 on Netflix. I think I fell asleep fairly early, although I am not sure since I feel asleep watching TV on the recliner in the living room.
Saturday morning I called my sister in law Tricia to see what time they would be ready to start the day. Tricia, Storm, Cater, Mom and I were going to go to Galena for the day. Galena is a little touristy town about an hour south of my house with tons of fun stores. We started the day with stopping for lunch at Happy Joes in Galena and then parked the car downtown and walked around and stopped in a few store for about three hours. Then we headed home. I dropped Tricia and the kids off, and then took mom home. I had to go to church Saturday night because I had a parish council meeting (I am the secretary) and had to be there. Church was interesting and pretty uplifting - another post for another day. The meeting went by pretty quickly and then I went to mom and dads for a really late supper (I was not hungry until nearly 8pm since we had lunch at Happy Joes). I left mom and dads just before 10 and went home - again falling asleep to some episodes of Glee.
Sunday morning I woke up and realized I wanted to finish cleaning the kitchen before John came home so I did that. I ate some breakfast and watched some tv again. Then I went for a walk - ended up going 3 miles and was gone for exactly an hour. I honestly though I was going to stop at one point and just go home, put kept pushing through it. I hope to walk tomorrow morning before work, but I know I can't get in one hour, so maybe a half hour before work and a half hour after - that's the plan anyways.
After I came in from the house I was a sweaty mess - it was nearly 90 degrees so it was hot anyways, but I was gross. So I'm standing in the kitchen drinking what seems like a gallon of water, when John comes home and his friend Steve also stopped in (one of the friends that went to the tractor pulls) - Steve needed a new xm radio antenna and we had an extra. I was rather embarrassed that he saw me looking like that, but oh well, his problem for showing up without me knowing ahead of time :)
After Steve left and I cooled down some more, we went to the living room and started to talk about our weekends. Watched some tv and apparently I was tired because I feel asleep. I took at least a two hour nap. Then woke up, made some supper, did a little cleaning, now blogging and getting ready for bed.
Hope you all had a good weekend too!
